Quantum Neon

Quantum Neon

I wanted to find a way to create art with my kite! After doing a lot of research I decided that a remote controlled LED strip, a lightweight battery pack and long exposure photography would be how I'd do it. I call it the Quantum Neon, and it's a lot of fun!

The possibilities for long exposure kite art are limitless, and I'm looking forward to trying different exposure lengths, longer kite lines for a wider window, as well as different color combinations. It's been a great learning adventure!

In my research, I came across a number of different methods people used for lighting up their kites at night, but none seemed to provide sufficient illumination for long exposure photography. That's what makes the Quantum Neon different.

I believe this accessory is useful for those who are interested in representing the art in kite-flying, of capturing and sharing the beauty in the patterns a flying kite makes in the sky, and certainly (for those skilled enough) for skywriting! Thank you for considering my accessory, and I have more images and video which I an share if you'd like. Cheers! Angus
