Prepping, and figuring.
Not the best title for a blog post I have ever come up with, but, it pretty much describes what has been happening over the past few days. The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy, with prepping, planning, product testing, workshops, and figuring out how to make this all work.
That means a lot of late nights ahead, and early mornings. :) I am a morning person and generally wake up around 4 am most weekdays. That gives me enough time to get some personal time at the gym, before heading off to my regular full time job. The difficulty in the coming months is going to be in figuring out how to balance my evenings; between regular commitments, coaching my Roller Derby league, and this kite thing. Thank goodness I live in a highly caffienated part of the country with access to quality beans.
That will most likely mean that there will be lots of late evenings ahead with me in my PJ's working in the studio.
Yep, that is me in a Panda onesie making line-sets for the kids kitemaking workshops. Not the best photo, but it goes to show that even late at night I am still smiling as I do this!
Just in the next few weeks I am looking at the following.
1. Product Testing/Filming in Ocean Shores
2. Indoor Kite demonstration and workshop for Arts Council
3. Kids Kite making workshop for Summer School Program
4. Kids Kite making workshop at Vacation Bible School
5. Seattle Mini Maker Faire
6. Writing e-book on kids kitemaking workshop
7. Writing e-book/workbook on another project
8. Prep for a special workshop with Paul de Bakker - Putting Moves to Music, a free workshop we are hosting at the WSIKF to help stunt kite fliers choreograph their routines. (click here to go to the FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE)
9. Draft a proposal for a new special project with a foundation
10. Work on a grant proposal
11. Work on videos
OH BOY! Is it weird that I am a little excited looking at the bulk of what needs to be done?
Ok, I have to sign off and get back to work, just wanted to drop a quick note and say that yes... yes indeed I am working into the wee hours of the night to make sure there are enough kites to give away!
