Wow.... I am still shaking the sand out of my kite bag, and a little out of my brain. Just came back from the Washington State International Kite Festival (WSIKF) and celebrating the inaugural We Fly Global Kite Challenge. So Exhausted and so full of gratitude and trying to make heads and tails of it while jumping right back into my regular job. Amazing work everybody... really amazing work. I will be selecting the prize and award winners and shipping out by the end of this week. Stay tuned for more videos as we process nearly 20 hours of video footage. It isn't too early to start planning for the WFGKC 2020!! There was roughly 120 people signed up across the different registrations, next year lets shoot for 500!! Spread the word. Hey! Some folks have been asking for ideas on how to shake things up and do something different for the WFGKC. One of the things I have been suggesting to folks is flying kites in a location that you wouldn't normally think of flying. Here is a great example of what I mean, flying kites over a flower field as part of the overall show! This is Tulip Town just outside of Mount Vernon, Washington. People come from miles around to see the acres of blooming tulips and enjoy the scenery. Some kite fliers show up every year to add an extra bit of color to the experience.
